Developing facilities for in vitro production of plants:
Floor plan design
Procurement of equipment
Laboratory supplies and chemicals.
Developing plant tissue culture systems:
Using axillary shoot micropropagation technics to multiply and propagate in vitro agricultural and horticultural species, including but not limited to bamboo, cannabis, geranium, grasses, wasabi, etc.
Applying plant somatic embryogenesis as a platform for multiplication and propagation, including but not limited to forage legumes (alfalfa), agricultural plants (sugar beet, tomatoes, etc.); conifers (loblolly pine, longleaf pine, lodgepole pine, white spruce, norway spruce, black spruce etc.).
Commercializing tissue culture systems:
Optimizing protocols and implementing a base-line production process
Scale-up existing procedures to increase productivity and reduce cost
Writing standard operating procedures and training manuals
Developing plant tissue culture media data base and media batch records
